About The Position

We seek an experienced CFO to lead our company’s financial and administrative operations, supporting profitable growth and driving shareholder value. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership in Financial Planning and Analysis, Risk Management, Accounting, and Tax and Treasury, ensuring compliance with regulations and corporate standards. Responsibilities include overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, managing financing and M&A initiatives, and collaborating with senior management to drive revenue growth and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field, MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years in finance and accounting roles, with at least five years in a senior leadership capacity (CFO or VP of Finance) within complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Proven experience working in the US subsidiary of a European-based company, ideally under IFRS standards, ensuring alignment with local and international reporting requirements.
  • Hands-on experience managing mergers, acquisitions, and financing activities, including significant exposure to debt management and corporate financing.
  • Strong background in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning to support large-scale operations.
  • Demonstrated success in driving efficiency improvements in financial processes and reporting, focusing on optimizing performance and internal controls.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in the car rental, transportation, or mobility sector is highly preferred, as it provides an understanding of fleet management, asset utilization, and related financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and structure a local team of ten to comply with US accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements and meet group expectations for monthly reporting and quarterly consolidation.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to management while managing the strategic, annual operating, and capital planning processes.
  • Enhance internal financial reporting and drive continuous improvement initiatives to elevate standards.
  • In collaboration with the group’s financing team, oversee and manage $500M in fleet and corporate debt.
  • Play a key role in mergers and acquisitions initiatives, liaise with the corporate M&A team, and handle technical financial issues in coordination with corporate finance.
  • Collaborate with senior management and operational teams, providing data-driven recommendations to support revenue growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
  • Track and assess key performance indicators to identify risks and business opportunities, offering actionable recommendations to optimize growth and profitability.
  • Optimize cash management strategies and maintain strong relationships with banks and auditors.
