As a Chief Financial Officer you will be responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the company in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and other regulatory and advisory organizations and in accordance with financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Analytical skills to include planning, organizing, directing, and controlling workflow and processes.
  • Ability to interact with the team in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn systems.
  • Comfortable navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.
  • Capability to lift 15 pounds periodically.
  • Ability to navigate and access all facilities.
  • Skill to effectively communicate verbally with others, both in-person and via electronic devices.
  • Close vision for computer-related activities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, direct, and evaluate the organization's fiscal function and performance.
  • Participate in the development of the company's plans and programs as a strategic partner.
  • Provide strategy, direction, and oversight to the legal, accounting, and real estate department.
  • Oversee all tax-related obligations and compliance.
  • Secure and maintain relations with financial Institutions for open lines of credit.
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, opening new stores, and regulatory action.
  • Develop credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends to assist the CEO in performing responsibilities.
  • Establish credibility throughout the organization as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
  • Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline,
  • Continue to improve the budgeting process through education of managers on financial issues impacting department budgets.
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization and ensure ROI are understood and delivered.
  • Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position.
  • Develop a reliable cash flow projection process that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
  • Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the corporation may enter.

  • Use discretion and independent judgment in daily decisions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Travel, as business dictates.
