The Asset Management (AM) Business Unit CFO will be responsible for managing the business unit’s financial analysis function(s) by working closely with Asset Management leadership and serving on the Asset Management executive team. The AM CFO reports into the Head of Enterprise Financial Planning and Analysis and is also a member of the Finance leadership team. The role will manage and provide leadership and guidance to managers and direct reports that comprise the Asset Management Finance team. The AM CFO will ensure the team is set up for success to deliver against the financial plan balancing business unit needs with overall strategy and direction set by the CEO/CFO. The key responsibilities of the role include: Plays a key role in helping set the overall financial strategy in partnership with Asset Management leadership, strategically partnering with relevant stakeholders (e.g., MRP&A, Human Resources, Risk/Compliance, etc.) Plans, directs, and oversees activities of the Asset Management financial plan to ensure business objectives are achieved in line with overall financial objectives set forth by the CEO/CFO, including leading the annual budgeting and strategic planning process, as well as the recurring forecasting process for the business unit. Provides financial/accounting support to the business unit by managing and monitoring revenue and operating expense budgets, providing financial reporting, and working cross-functionally as needed to improve efficiency and productivity. Responsible for cost benefit analysis, evaluating the feasibility, profitability, and cost effectiveness of existing or new products and services based on business unit objectives. Develops and implements practices and procedures for the proper financial control of the business unit with an eye towards identifying, owning, and managing associated risks. Shares accountability with the business unit leadership team for the performance and profitability of the business unit as compared to the plan and against other key performance indicators. Demonstrates extensive business experience in Financial Services, broad functional expertise in financial planning & analysis, with focus on proactive strategic leadership to drive business outcomes. Responsible for leadership and management of Asset Management Finance team modeling culture behaviors, embracing change management, and building an inclusive and supportive work environment. Accountable for staffing/budget of the Asset Management finance team and focused on ways to optimize team performance where applicable. Responsible for variance analysis around monthly and quarterly results, including comparisons versus plan, forecast, prior period and prior year, covering relevant financial results, including asset flows and performance against the Target Financial Model.
