BryceTech is seeking a subject matter expert with prior experience as a Chief Systems Engineer to support a major defense program, focusing on Department of War (DoW) prototyping and experimentation efforts. The ideal Chief Systems Engineer would have extensive experience supporting major technology programs (>$100 million) leading the design, development, and test of complex, multi-domain systems. They must be skilled in enterprise architecture, mission engineering, and technical risk management. Key responsibilities include: Technical Authority: Serve as the lead technical authority, shaping and validating the end-to-end system and mission architectures Engineering Integration & Execution: Oversee the integration of prototype and experimentation efforts across a range of key technical domains including AI/ML, cyber, C5ISRT, autonomy, hypersonics, and multi-domain operations Technical Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks across the program lifecycle, including design trades, technology insertion, and system vulnerabilities Mission Thread and Capability Alignment: Ensure that system designs fully support key mission threads, CONOPS, and joint operational requirements through rigorous systems engineering practice Stakeholder Engagement & Technical Leadership: Lead technical coordination across government, industry, and mission partners, providing clear guidance, decision support, and strategic technical vision
