About The Position

Hyundai Design Center - Chief Digital ModelerHDCA is currently looking for a Lead Digital Modeler at our Hyundai Design studio in Irvine, CA.WHAT YOU WILL DO
Efficiently build exterior/interior models with good surface quality/highlights.
Rebuild models from clay model scan into NURBS surfaces.
Participate in Design reviews reacting to design feedback with creative modeling solutions.
Work with designers during vision phase of design using sub-d modeling software such as Blender or Alias.
Prepare models for clay milling and or 3D printing.
Project leader, oversee each project while fulfilling modeling duties.
Step up to temporarily manage the team when manager is away.
Occasional travel out of state or country for auto shows, conferences or training.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
10+ years of experience as a digital modeler for major automotive manufacturer
Exterior modeling expert is preferred. Class A level modeling experience is desired.
