About The Position

As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we provide essential dental services that create positive experiences and set the foundation for lifelong oral health across Pasco & Hernando Counties. The Chief Dental Officer (CDO) will be a member of the executive leadership team responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the dental practices to ensure a high standard of quality care delivery across Premier Community HealthCare. The CDO is responsible for leading an engaged dental team in operationalizing advanced clinical strategies with a continuous focus on outcomes, financial sustainability, safety, and quality improvement. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of dental medicine
- Unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of Florida
- Ten (15) years proven successful experience as a dental practitioner
- Five (5) years’ experience as a senior/ director/ dental lead level leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with healthcare information systems, such as an electronic health record (EHR)
- Experience in a multiple provider dental practice
- Ability to maintain appropriate clinical privileges as required
- Current BLS certification
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a federal and state narcotic registration
- Obtain and maintain Epic certification/ annual compliance training throughout employment.

- Completion of an accredited general practice residency program is preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop best-in-class treatment practices and innovative business strategies that are aligned with Premier’s mission and values
- Build trusting relationships and maintain continuity of care
- Provide general dentistry for pediatrics and adults
- Partner closely with medical and pediatrics teams to provide quality health care
- Promote dental education in prevention, health management, and self-advocacy
- Help improve care delivery through Quality Improvement initiatives
- Mentor others and contribute to a positive clinical culture
- Travel across Premier's sites to engage with providers and drive engagement amongst the team
