About The Position

As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we provide essential dental services that create positive experiences and set the foundation for lifelong oral health across Pasco & Hernando Counties. The Chief Dental Officer (CDO) will be a member of the executive leadership team responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the dental practices to ensure a high standard of quality care delivery across Premier Community HealthCare. The CDO is responsible for leading an engaged dental team in operationalizing advanced clinical strategies with a continuous focus on outcomes, financial sustainability, safety, and quality improvement. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of dental medicine
  • Unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of Florida
  • Ten (15) years proven successful experience as a dental practitioner
  • Five (5) years’ experience as a senior/ director/ dental lead level leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with healthcare information systems, such as an electronic health record (EHR)
  • Experience in a multiple provider dental practice
  • Ability to maintain appropriate clinical privileges as required
  • Current BLS certification
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a federal and state narcotic registration
  • Obtain and maintain Epic certification/ annual compliance training throughout employment.

  • Completion of an accredited general practice residency program is preferred

  • Provide general dentistry for pediatrics and adults
  • Partner closely with medical and pediatrics teams to provide quality health care
  • Promote dental education in prevention, health management, and self-advocacy
  • Help improve care delivery through Quality Improvement initiatives
  • Mentor others and contribute to a positive clinical culture
  • Travel across Premier's sites to engage with providers and drive engagement amongst the team
