About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to provide strategic oversight of accounting operations and financial reporting in a fast-paced healthcare and technology environment. This role ensures accurate financial data is available to support leadership decision-making, compliance, and long-term financial planning. The Chief Accountant manages daily accounting functions, maintains internal controls, and drives process improvements to optimize efficiency and reliability. They collaborate closely with executive leadership, mentoring the accounting team while handling multi-entity and multi-currency operations. This position is critical for maintaining financial strength, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, and supporting audits and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment and brings both technical accounting expertise and strong leadership skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in healthcare, SaaS, or technology-driven organizations.
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SaaS revenue recognition principles.
  • Experience with multi-currency and multi-entity accounting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and bank reconciliations.
  • Manage accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Maintain the chart of accounts and accounting policies in alignment with U.S. GAAP.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and management reports to provide reliable insights to leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal policies, healthcare regulations, audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls, ensuring proper documentation and audit trails.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, workflow automation, and efficiency enhancements.
  • Collaborate with CFO, Controller, and executive leadership on revenue recognition, contracts, projects, and operational performance.
  • Support multi-entity, multi-currency, and intercompany accounting, coordinating with operations and project teams as needed.
