This position is responsible for the processing of all chickens including grading, vaccination and toe trimming. Essential duties and responsibilities include placing hatching eggs in properly labeled buggies, processing chicks (grade, vaccinate, operate robot, weigh chicks, and perform toe trim), preparing chick boxes, counting by-products, and operating a macerator. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice, such as operating a high pressure and regular water hose, making and cutting vitamin gel, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months.
Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.
Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.
Applicants must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview.
Must have good communication skills to accurately convey opinions and concerns.
Must agree to submit to a Security Threat Assessment (TSA).
Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must use safe lifting techniques.
Must regularly push or pull basket of chicks weighing up to 125 lbs.
Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.).
Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.
Will be trained to recognize and comply with all safety procedures.
Team Member is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, Lock out Tag out, and Personal Protective equipment.
Team Member is expected to identify, address, and mitigate safety related risks.
