In this exciting role as a Chemist II the d aily responsibilities include supporting Quality Control and stability analytical testing, as well as assisting with method verification and validation activities for new and existing combination products. The Chemist II will perform a range of analytical techniques, including HPLC, UPLC, GC, Dissolution/Elution (USP Apparatus 2 and 7), FTIR, GPC, UV, and Karl Fischer titration. Responsibilities also include documenting observations, performing calculations, and collecting and preparing data for evaluation. All work will be conducted in compliance with company policies, current Good Laboratory Practices (cGLP), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and established procedures within Quality Control/Quality Assurance and/or Research and Development. This role is 100% onsite at our Rice Creek, MN manufacturing site. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related technical discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR an advanced degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related technical discipline with 0 years of experience.

  • Advanced degree in chemistry
  • Experience with liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, dissolution/Elution
  • Solid technical ability and troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge with method validation activities, including drafting of validation/Verification protocols/reports
  • Proficiency with analytical test method development

Responsibilities

  • Execute Quantitative analytical testing for Quality Control and Stability and document all procedure steps in real time in analytical notebooks.
  • Execute process validations and method transfers and have a basic knowledge of test method development and validation.
  • Provide suggestions and participate on cross-functional teams for process/procedure improvements.
  • Assists with peer review of other analytical tests from team members in the laboratory.
  • Apply knowledge of performed tasks to elucidate test method failures
