About The Position

West Village Post Acute is a skilled nursing facility located at 8 N. Texas Avenue in Greenville, South Carolina. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef to join our team in a long-term care setting. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, strong culinary skills, and a passion for serving our residents delicious, nutritious, and well-balanced meals. Requirements

  • Culinary school education preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional cooking experience, preferably in healthcare, hospitality, or a high-volume kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (ServSafe certification a plus).
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets and dietary restrictions preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with facility menus and resident dietary needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
  • Coordinate with the Dietary Manager and Dietitian to accommodate therapeutic and texture-modified diets.
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and efficiency in the kitchen.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management and attention to detail during meal prep and service.
  • Lead and collaborate with dietary team members to promote a positive, team-oriented work environment.
  • Contribute creativity and input for menu planning and special events.
