About The Position

Achieve catering revenue, profit and customer satisfaction goals by overseeing the preparation of the menu and managing the operation of the kitchen. Help supervise and motivate the Line Cooks. This is a PM Shift.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and supervise line cooks
  • Prepare daily assignments for the shift team members
  • Communicate with the chef to learn daily work tasks
  • Perform work assignments to meet proper quantities within a necessary time frame
  • Show knowledge of all stations in the department
  • Show mastery of all menu items and plate presentations
  • Communicate with all line cooks for proper pars and production requirements in each station
  • Keep work area clean at all times
  • Assist the management team in the control of food and labor costs
  • Show proficiency in the safe use of relevant tools for the job: knives, pots, pans, glassware, stoves, steamers, etc
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all relevant cooking techniques and procedures
  • Abide by all hotel policies and procedures
  • Practice safe work habits and demonstrate a responsible attitude toward the safety of other associates
  • Follow sanitation and safety standards
  • Adhere to uniform and grooming standards
  • Attend department meetings
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed
