About The Position

Wastequip's Galbreath division has an immediate opportunity for a Prep Tech at their Winamac, IN manufacturing facility. The Chassis Prep will do prep work for the hoist mounting process and install certain components onto Truck Chassis . Pay: $21.58 Shift: First Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Review the truck chassis with the model of the hoist to be mounted and plans out what steps are necessary to complete the installation. Installs some of the electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic components needed prior to the chassis mounting process. Inspects work before the truck is moved on in the process Employee operates handheld plasma, huck gun, torch, welder, air drill, and chain drill as part of their everyday duties. Operates a forklift to move components as needed. Must be able to read a tape measure. Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or Technical Degree preferred
  • 1+ years of related experience and/or training preferred
  • Experience with handheld plasma cutter, huck gun, torch, and air tools preferred
  • Basic welding skills preferred
  • Basic math skills
