Get to Know Your Team: Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000-square-foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting-edge technology, and patient-focused care that includes 365 beds, 1,200+ employees and a 27-bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit. Responsibilities The Charge Nurse-Emergency Department has the leadership skills, authority, responsibility, and shift accountability for the delivery of nursing care through the use of the nursing process. They are an extension of the leadership team (director, manager, nursing supervisor, clinical preceptor, and/or house supervisor) and must conduct themselves as such.

Requirements

  • An associate's degree in nursing required.
  • At least 1-3 years of clinical nursing experience
  • Licensed as an RN in the State of New Jersey
  • Maintain ACLS and PALS
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification.
