About The Position

The Charge Nurse is responsible for the delivery of high-quality patient focused care through precepting and observation of clinical support staff to evaluate and provide feedback to improve performance. Assists Center Nurse Manager through completion of duties as assigned to include vaccine inventory, supply ordering, log completion, monthly reconciliation of labs, documents nursing encounters, diagnostic imaging and scheduling. Serves as backup to Center Nuse Manager in their absence.

Requirements

• Current certification as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse is required.
• Individual must demonstrate mature judgment, be energetic, flexible and self-motivated with strong attention to detail, communication, teamwork, customer service and computer skills.
• Requires the ability to use clinical assessment skills and perception to determine the needs of the patient while working with the medical provider.
• Must maintain current CPR for all life cycles and CEU credits required for licensure.
• Must demonstrate excellent internal and external customer service skills.
• Employee must demonstrate an understanding of the intent, and follow standards, guidelines and protocols related to achieving and maintaining certifications by outside agencies.
• Must demonstrate a personal and professional commitment to Eastern Shore Rural Health and its Mission Statement.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer experience in a medical setting.
• Ability to provide bilingual patient care is a plus.
