Charge Nurse Position Summary The Charge Nurse provides leadership, clinical guidance, and oversight of nursing operations during assigned shifts. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compliant patient care by coordinating staff assignments, supporting workflow, mentoring nursing staff, and promoting excellence in clinical practice. The Charge Nurse serves as the primary resource for staff collaboration, problem-solving, and escalation of clinical or operational concerns. We support recovery from: Stroke and neurological conditions Brain and spinal cord injury Orthopedic trauma and post-operative rehabilitation Medically complex or chronic conditions impacting functional independence Our modern hospital features fully equipped therapy gyms, transitional living areas, outdoor therapeutic spaces, and advanced rehabilitation technology designed to enhance mobility, strength, and independence. How You’ll Contribute as a Charge Nurse A Charge Nurse in this role will: Lead and coordinate the nursing team throughout the shift Complete and oversee comprehensive patient assessments and care priorities Support nursing interventions aligned with individualized rehabilitation goals Provide safe, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s age and condition Assist with staffing decisions, real-time problem solving, and resource allocation Support patient and family education, discharge planning, and clinical communication Accurately document patient progress and ensure compliance with clinical standards Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, case managers, and interdisciplinary partners Promote a respectful, supportive, and team-focused environment Serve as the first point of escalation for clinical and operational concerns Connect with Our RN Recruiting Specialist Not ready to apply or have questions?
