Dignity Health East Valley Rehabilitation Hospital - Gilbert is a state-of-the-art, 40-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital focused on helping individuals regain independence after injury or illness. It offers customized, individualized rehabilitation programs for patients recovering from conditions such as stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury, aiming to maximize health, function, and quality of life through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation.

Requirements

  • Current state RN license.
  • Graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • CPR/BCLS certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • ACLS & CRRN preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading and supporting nursing staff in the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compliant patient care.
  • Clinical mentorship, documentation oversight, and coordination of staff assignments based on patient needs.
  • Completes routine audits to assure accurate and timely documentation in Cerner and UDS in order to meet compliance standards.
  • Assists the Nurse Manager in annual evaluations by providing feedback on clinical performance.
  • Identifies educational opportunities for the nursing staff based on clinical needs identified and verbalized by nursing staff.
  • Educates and monitors all staff regarding accurate and complete QI documentation to capture accurate burden of care.
  • Assists in QI education for licensed nursing staff.
  • Acts as key player in daily stand up clinical meeting to communicate/identify patient status.
  • Acts as a clinical resource and mentor for nurses in caring for medically complex patients in the facility.
