About The Position

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Work Shift: All Work Shifts (United States of America) Primary Function/General Purpose of Position This one-year residency allows for position to engage in Clinical Pastoral Education in accordance with the standards of the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education and the US Conference of Catholic Bishops Commission on Certification and Accreditation. Provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, their families, visitors, and staff. Work collaboratively with the Department of Pastoral Care staff and participate in department activities and events. Provide on-call pastoral care coverage on a rotating basis Essential Job Functions Provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, their families, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent and a background in theology required.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.
  • Minister to patients, their families, visitors, and hospital staff in assigned areas.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Divinity preferred.
  • One unit of Clinical Pastoral Education preferred.

Responsibilities
