Established in 1891, the Port of Portland is a mission-driven public agency that plays a critical role in advancing the region economically, socially, and environmentally. Through its airports, marine terminals, and business parks, the Port connects people and commerce while supporting long-term regional prosperity. While the Port is a public entity, it operates with private-sector rigor and scale. With more than $500 million in annual revenues and approximately 800 employees, the Port supports nearly $10 billion in regional GDP and close to 100,000 jobs across aviation, marine, and commercial development. The Port’s mission is clear: Build shared prosperity for the region through travel, trade, and economic development. This is a senior enterprise leadership role at a pivotal moment for the Port of Portland, with lasting financial, technological, and public impact. It requires the judgment and enterprise perspective to operate at the center of a complex public institution during a defining period of transformation. As CFO, you are trusted not only for financial expertise, but for the ability to shape enterprise decisions with long-term implications. You will serve as a close advisor to the Executive Director, a key partner to the Executive Team, and a credible presence with the Port Commission and external stakeholders. With responsibility for both finance and information technology, you will operate at the intersection of capital stewardship, digital modernization, and public accountability. In this role, you will play a central part in determining how the Port allocates capital, manages risk, modernizes its systems, and delivers on its mission for decades to come.
