About The Position

The Certified Rehabilitation Counselor role involves reviewing Functional Capacity Outcomes (FCOs) and supporting documentation for client assessments, conducting vocational assessments and reassessments in alignment with Person First standards and HRA guidelines, and developing Individual Vocational Assessment Plans (IVAPs). This position requires collecting relevant data, identifying barriers, outlining actionable next steps with clients, and discussing their short- and long-term employment goals using appropriate assessment tools. Counselors provide clients with resources, guidance, and referrals, collaborate with VRS staff on employment opportunities and training programs, and maintain detailed client records in a high-volume, performance-driven environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, education, human resources, liberal arts, or a related field, and at least two years of experience working with individuals with diverse physical or behavioral health needs; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must hold a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) credential.
  • Ability to perform all duties in compliance with Person First standards, HIPAA, HRA requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Experience managing high-volume caseloads in fast-paced, performance-driven environments.
  • Strong customer service, client engagement, and motivational communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to assess accommodation needs and determine reasonable supports for clients.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and workforce development practices.
  • Proficiency with electronic systems and case management platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with publicly funded programs; TANF experience preferred.
  • Bilingual or multilingual ability preferred.
  • Familiarity with online vocational, interest, and aptitude assessments preferred.

Responsibilities
