Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a favorable recent driving record.
- Must be a Certified Missouri Peer Specialist
Responsibilities
- Participate in treatment planning with the team and client
- Engage clients in a collaborative and caring relationship, using interpersonal skills, knowledge about recovery, and a trauma-informed approach
- Provide support to clients through validation, exploration, and pursuit of community roles, and convey hope and celebrate efforts and accomplishments
- Share personal recovery experiences and practices to inspire and support clients
- Assist clients in identifying their strengths and personal resources to aid in their recovery
- Develop , maintain, and provide information about community resources and services
- Accompany clients to community activities and attend relevant events
