This specific position is for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) in Bushland, TX, to provide assistance in daily living and personal care services in patients’ homes in accordance with a physician-established care plan. Requirements

  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant certificate if applicable
  • 1+ years' experience in direct client care, or has provided home health services within previous 24 months
  • Current CPR certification
  • willing to get TB testing
  • Dependable transportation
  • Offers are contingent upon passing a background check

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care within the patient's home, under the direction of the RN, and according to the Aide Plan of Care
  • Appropriately reports changes in the patient's condition to the RN/the care team and documents pertinent information
  • Practices in accordance with accepted infection control principles.
  • Provides a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
  • Provides necessary assistance to patients with light housekeeping, meal preparation, proper nutrition, and adequate fluid intake
  • Promotes positive, supportive, and respectful communication with patients/clients, caregiver(s), families, and other employees
  • Provides assistance to patients with safe transfers and ambulation per the Agency policies
  • Completes yearly education hours
