About The Position

Since 2012, Giving Home Health Care has been supporting individuals impacted by health conditions related to their work in nuclear facilities for the Department of Energy. They focus on personalized, in-home care for those who dedicated their careers to these vital roles. Giving Home Health Care is a fast-growing, leading provider serving patients across Arizona, Colorado, Kentucky, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah. The company is looking for a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Houston, TX area. This role involves providing assistance in daily living and personal care services in patients’ homes, following a physician-established care plan. It is a 1099 contract opportunity, with care provided at the patient’s residence. Scheduling needs will be established collaboratively between the HHA/CNA, patient, and case manager. Multiple shifts are available, including weekday and weekend shifts, with options for 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM and 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM shifts. Offers are contingent upon passing a background check.

Requirements

  • Current CPR, First Aid, and 2-Step TB Test
  • Prefer experience in a clinical care setting, home health preferred.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Prolonged standing and walking required, with ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move patients.
  • Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

  • Executes physician prescribed plans of care and compliant documentation of care provided in system of record.
  • Administers prescribed treatments, and therapies.
  • Performs patient assessments, coordination of care.
  • Performs various activities associated with daily living, communications, and monitoring of vitals while working at the patient’s home.
  • Will be working with patients in a comfortable environment where the service is one-on-one.
  • Communicates with family members, doctors, and other prescribed individuals regarding the health of patients.
  • Performs other personal care services as necessary to meet the patient’s needs.
