About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join a skilled nursing and subacute care facility in Edison, NJ. The CNA will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing and rehabilitation services. This role requires flexibility to float between various units (rehab, post-operative, ventilator, COVID, etc.) and support residents with diverse and complex medical needs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an approved CNA program
  • Active, permanent New Jersey CNA license
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Minimum 2 years of CNA experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) or subacute skilled nursing setting

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with post-surgical, stroke, rehabilitation, or medically complex patients preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver care in accordance with individualized patient care plans
  • Assist with range-of-motion (ROM) exercises, ambulation, and transfer training
  • Provide feeding assistance and maintain calorie counts
  • Perform AM and HS care, hygiene, grooming, and skin assessments
  • Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and bowel movements
  • Respond promptly to call bells and assist with room transfers
  • Provide post-mortem care as required
  • Ensure proper use of adaptive and assistive equipment
  • Observe and promptly report changes in resident condition
  • Identify and communicate potential care concerns to supervising nurse
  • Participate in shift reports and interdisciplinary communication
  • Complete documentation in compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations
  • Follow restorative nursing orders for assigned residents
  • Maintain adherence to infection control, safety, and facility standards
  • Maintain competency through continuing education
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and team members
  • Uphold high standards of patient satisfaction and service excellence
