Requirements

Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification

Responsibilities

Administer medications to residents in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and state regulations
Accurately document medication administration and promptly report errors, refusals, or adverse reactions
Observe residents for changes in condition and communicate concerns to nursing leadership
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting dignity and independence
Ensure proper storage, handling, and security of medications at all times
Follow all safety, infection control, and HIPAA guidelines
Work collaboratively with the nursing team under the direction of the Director of Nursing
Provide compassionate, patient‑centered care that supports comfort, safety, and quality of life
