About The Position

Maine Family Planning is seeking a full time Certified Medical Assistant for our Lewiston location. Position Summary : The Medical Assistant assists family planning providers in the delivery of administrative and clinical duties under the supervision of the Nurse Practitioner as required by the State of Maine. Candidate must be able to work in a team environment. Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor are required. Follows Maine Family Planning policies and clinical protocols. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required. General Expectations: Be committed to organization’s mission, vision, and values. Follows established policies and procedures and complies with all safety requirements. Communicates in an open, respectful and honest manner. Communicates proactively with the supervisor regarding workflow, problems, suggestions, etc. Conforms to acceptable attendance/punctuality standards as expressed in Employee Handbook. Be neat and maintain personal appearance and hygiene as appropriate for the position. Adheres strictly to confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

• 1-2 years working in social/health services
• Ability to be organized, manage systems, computer skills
• Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA and CLIA guidelines
• Experience working with electronic medical records
• Commitment to family planning mission
• Certification from a Medical Assistant Training Program required
• valid driver's license
• reliable transportation
