Southern Hills Hospital is a 260+ bed acute care hospital. We provide emergency and pediatric emergency services. In addition, Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center provides women with top level care with our OB-GYN, Level III NICU, diagnostic imaging and surgical services. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Graduate from an accredited Sterile Processing school program -OR- 2yrs experience in an acute care setting as an SPD technician in-lieu of a formal SPD training program.
New Grad with completed minimum clinical hours required by IAHCSMM

Nice To Haves

Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist school Program (preferred)
Surgical Tech or Sterile Processing Tech, with a minimum of 6 months experience (preferred)
Certification for Sterile Processing Technicians from CBSPD or IAHCSMM (preferred)

Responsibilities

Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards
Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care
Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs
Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized
Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries
