About The Position

Under supervision of the records manager, this position serves in an operational capacity as a central records supervisor. Supervises, assigns, reviews and coordinates the day-to-day activities of the Central Records unit including the maintenance, retrieval, protection, retention and destruction of agency records; ensures work quality and adherence to established written directives; and performs the more technical and complex tasks to assigned area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in records management with highly sensitive and complex data entry, record processing and file maintenance.
  • OR A combination of related education and/or progressively responsible experience in records management with highly sensitive and complex data entry, record processing and file maintenance equal to seven (7) years. If education is substituted for work experience, an unofficial transcript of the relevant education must be provided with your application.
  • Must be a Colorado resident at time of application.
  • Requires successful completion of a background investigation that includes a polygraph exam, a fingerprint based criminal history search, drug test and a reference check.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory experience including training, coaching and performance evaluation.
  • Experience with Criminal Justice Records Act and criminal justice records law.
  • Experience in a law enforcement agency.
  • Experience with maintaining a complex and high volume of records.
  • Experience in Google Products (Ex. Gmail, Google-Docs, Sheets, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Ex. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
