About The Position

This position provides support for the college's mail, central receiving and inventory control functions.This is a part time position 20 hours per week. This is a partially benefited position. Priority consideration will be afforded to those applicants who submit a completed application by the end of business day November 28, 2025. The position will remain open until filled. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Less than one year of related experience required.
  • Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.

  • Knowledge of United States Postal Service regulations.
  • Knowledge of forklift operation principles.
  • Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.

  • Skill in oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

  • Sorts and processes incoming mail - 40%
  • Sorts, identifies, and delivers mail to college departments.
  • Receives and logs packages - 25%
  • Receives, checks-in, and logs packages in software system.
  • Prepares outgoing mail - 15%
  • Ensures that outgoing mail has proper postage.
  • Ensures mail is processed and posted in a timely manner.
  • Operates and maintains postage meter.
  • Creates Monthly postage report.
  • Performs a variety of related duties - 20%
  • Unloads, stores, and distributes large equipment using forklifts and heavy equipment handlers.
  • Moves and stores campus, classroom, and office furniture.
  • Assists in setting up for special events when needed.
  • Assists in managing inventoried items.
  • Stores documents for shredding.
  • Maintains vehicles and equipment.
  • Assists with surplus pick up.
