About The Position

Central Office Secretary Location: Roosevelt ISD Central Office Reports To: Superintendent Term: 12 months Position Summary The Central Office Secretary provides high-level administrative support to district leadership and ensures the efficient operation of the central office. This position serves as a key point of contact for staff, students, families, and the public, requiring professionalism, discretion, and strong organizational skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or higher preferred
  • Previous administrative or secretarial experience, preferably in an educational setting
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Customer service-oriented with a professional demeanor
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, phone calls, and general inquiries, providing excellent customer service
  • Provide administrative support to district leadership, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing correspondence
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail deliveries, emails, and district communications
  • Manage office supplies and ensure the central office operates efficiently
  • Support interdepartmental communication and coordination
  • Perform data entry and maintain databases as required
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information related to students, staff, and district operations
  • Perform other business office duties as assigned by administration, including state agency reports and deposits
