About The Position

Part of the Novant Health family based in North Carolina, Novant Health Urgent Care (formerly Doctors Care) provides exceptional healthcare through our network of more than 50 urgent care centers and 20 physical therapy facilities across South Carolina. Our Columbia-based headquarters delivers non-medical management and administrative services to support these locations. For decades, we have been committed to delivering exceptional, convenient, and affordable healthcare experiences to families and communities throughout the Palmetto State. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, interviewing job applicants, preparing center schedules, conducting annual performance evaluations on medical support staff and placing monthly supply orders. Performs audits to ensure charges are entered correctly and verifies daily close out procedures are being followed and properly documented.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Willing to work 12-hour shifts, weekends and holidays.
  • Must maintain a CPR certification and be OSHA/HIPAA and BAT/ DS trained.
  • Strong interpersonal/customer service skills; must be able to communicate well with wide variety of individuals within the organization and work well in a team-based environment.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to break down work effort, estimate time and manage to critical path.
  • Strong organizational skills; including the ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to research, interpret, and report on complex data.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records
