We are seeking a Inspector for our Transportation-Construction management (T-CM) Practice in Denver, CO. Key Responsibilities: Observe the contractors work to determine the progress and quality of work on construction projects Identify discrepancies, report significant discrepancies to the supervisor, and direct the Contractor to correct such observed discrepancies Work independently, under general supervision, exercising advanced judgment in the application of standard methodologies and procedures for complex projects Perform highly complex technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout, making, and checking engineering computations Inspecting construction work and conducting field tests and is responsible for coordinating and managing lower-level inspectors Reads and interprets contract documents (plans and specifications) to determine if the contractor’s work is in substantial compliance with the contract documents. May make and/or check engineering computations Maintains detailed accurate records of the Contractor’s daily operations and of significant events that affect work Inspects construction work Performs sampling and field testing of component materials and completed work in accordance with the Construction Contract documents Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent Minimum of 4 years relevant experience. Prior experience in construction inspection, including exposure to bridge and/or roadway construction inspection, or a Civil Engineering degree with the ability to earn additional required qualifications within one year Ability to sit, stand, climb, bend, twist or stoop frequently and for prolonged periods, under various outside conditions Ability to reach horizontally as well as vertically for required tasks Ability to use construction or inspection safety equipment including fall protection Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and shake up to 20 pounds Must have a Valid Driver's License with a good driving record Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in CDOT computer-based applications Working knowledge of CDOT Bridge and Roadway Specifications Experience working with a team and reporting to a supervisor Flexible schedule - working nights/weekends are a possibility Benefits: Paid Vacation, Personal Time Off, and Holiday Pay 401(k) with Company Match Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Certification and Licensure Support Career Advancement Opportunities Pet Insurance Company Vehicle And much more The salary range for this position in Denver is $67,000–$85,000 per year, representing the employer’s good‑faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be based on job‑related skills, experience, internal equity, and geographic location, where applicable. This role may also be eligible for additional compensation and benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, an employee assistance program, retirement and financial protection programs (401(k), short‑ and long‑term disability), paid time off (including holidays and paid parental leave), and HSA funding up to $1,200 annually.
