About the role The CDL Driver will perform duties associated with transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste between ReWorld facilities and the client’s sites. Drives will have the opportunity to operate a variety of equipment including vacuum tankers, vacuum trucks, vans, and dump equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred ReWorld offers GED Works – a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.
  • Must be 21 years or older, due to interstate travel in a commercial vehicle and federal regulations.
  • 2+ years of commercial driving experience.
  • CDL Class A with Tanker endorsement required.
  • HazMat endorsement highly preferred but not required.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to use a tablet for E-Logs.
  • Abide by standard DOT regulations at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment in a safe manner following DOT regulations and company policies and regulations.
  • Drive commercial vehicles to pick up and transport waste to a designated location safely while meeting scheduled appointments and following all DOT regulations.
  • Ensure placarding of the vehicle meets DOT regulations.
  • Maintain paperwork including expense reports, timesheets, vehicle inspection reports, manifests, and job sheets.
  • Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
  • Secure cargo prior to and during transit.
  • Complete additional assigned duties.
