About The Position

The CDL Driver II will perform duties associated with transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste between Reworld facilities and the client’s sites. Drivers will have the opportunity to operate a variety of manual and automatic transmission equipment including vacuum tankers, vacuum trucks, vans, and flatbeds.

Requirements

CDL Class A required
HazMat and Tanker Endorsement is required.
3-5 years of experience is required.
Knowledge of operation of box truck, vac truck, dry van, transport and vac tanker, yard truck, and day/sleeper tractor.
Must be 21 years or older, due to interstate travel in a commercial vehicle and federal regulations.
Acceptable driving record.
Home Daily with occasional 1 overnight per week.

High School Diploma / GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely operate equipment following DOT regulations, company policies and client site safety.
Drive commercial vehicles to pick up and transport waste to a designated location safely while meeting scheduled appointments and following all DOT regulations.
Drive trucks and operate specialized pump equipment on vehicles to load, unload, or disperse cargo or materials.
Ensure the placarding of the vehicle meets DOT regulations as applicable.
Complete and maintain records such as vehicle logs, vehicle inspection reports, records of cargo, and shipping manifests according to state and federal regulations.
Communicate, verbally and electronically, with other teams including dispatch regarding delivery instructions.
Interpret maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions.
Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
Secure cargo before and during transit.
Use mobile technology for E-Logs
Move containerized materials with-in the van using a pallet jack.
Complete additional assigned duties.
