This marks the fourth consecutive year that Infinx India has achieved certification and the first time the company has earned recognition in the U.S. We are seeking a CDI Specialist or Consultant to partner with healthcare organizations to improve their revenue cycle performance while ensuring clinical documentation integrity, coding accuracy, and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with revenue cycle, HIM, and clinical teams to assess workflows, identify gaps impacting reimbursement and compliance, and implement data-driven and sustainable solutions across the revenue cycle. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of how clinical documentation and operational processes influence financial outcomes and is motivated by improving both revenue performance and the quality of clinical data.

Requirements

  • 3 years of CDI experience in an inpatient acute care setting
  • Strong working knowledge of MS-DRG and APR-DRG methodology
  • Experience presenting to and educating physician and clinical audiences
  • Ability to translate clinical domain expertise into practical product feedback
  • Strong analytics/data science skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Take initiative to complete tasks rapidly and accurately
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel to client sites (10-15%)

Nice To Haves

  • CCDS, CDIP, or equivalent certification strongly preferred
  • Prior consulting or muti-facility experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assess, design, and implement CDI programs at inpatient facilities
  • Partner with physicians, HIM teams, and clinical staff to drive documentation accuracy and compliance
  • Collaborate with our internal revenue cycle team to identify opportunities for DRG optimization, reduce under-coding, and maximize appropriate inpatient reimbursement
  • Work directly with our engineering team to translate CDI and DRG workflow expertise into product requirements, test features, and shape the roadmap of our proprietary CDI tool
  • Travel to community hospitals and healthcare organizations to offer clients hands-on support
  • Other duties as assigned
