Ziegler CAT has an opening for a Compact Construction Equipment (CCE) Demonstrator Operator to exhibit and operate machinery in Caterpillar’s complete product line and trains customer operations and Ziegler field sales people. They also perform formal deliveries and revisits; perform machine inspections and lend further assistance to other departments. Responsibilities: Works with field sales department to create the most effective demonstrations for sales enhancement Trains customers and sales force to be completely familiar with controls, systems, safety procedures, and daily maintenance Assists outside departments in testing repaired equipment, troubleshooting customer machine issues and delivering small machinery orders Creates machine displays for open houses and other public relations functions Conducts additional customer/operator training seminars Follows up on sales and delivery interactions with customers, ensuring continued satisfaction Operates all machinery in necessary demonstrations, in order to enhance sales opportunities Ability to use technology to facilitate training Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED 5+ years equipment operation experience Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with the construction industry Strong learning orientation Excellent communication and customer service skills Must have and maintain a clean driving record Class A CDL or willingness to obtain one within a defined period of time Obtain a DOT medical certification card Pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen & physical Willingness to work extended hours and/or adjust to schedule changes, when necessary Ability to work in a cooperative manner with team and superiors Able to operate equipment safely This role is deemed safety-sensitive and will be subject to a drug test as a pre-employment requirement Travel: Up to 10% overnight travel Minimum Physical Requirements: Push/pull up to 50 lbs Lift/carry up to 60 lbs Lift bulky objects Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, crawling, bin lift, high steps, fingering/grasping – able to use bolt box. The pay range for this position is $26.85 to $32.21 Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant’s location.
