About The Position

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures that the catering processes for each facility are followed and re-enforced. Loads catered food on the truck and delivers food to designated area safely, timely and within all food service safety guidelines. Unloads food at designated sites, and ensures all products are stored properly at the sites. Maintains the required logs and paperwork accurately and timely at the facility where food is served. Helps direct volunteers during meal services. Reports to Catering Supervisor for additional daily tasks. Supports, promotes and adheres to Catholic Charities’ vision, mission, values and Code of Ethics. Reflects Catholic Charities’ commitment to treating all persons with dignity and respect. Maintains confidentiality of client and agency information. Regular and predictable attendance. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Good steward of Agency human, financial and capital resources Participates effectively as a team member through communication, cooperation, information sharing and problem solving. Can work efficiently and courteously with volunteers. Participates in all staff trainings and programs as required. Any other tasks or duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate and interact positively with others
  • Ability to complete basic data entry into computer systems
  • Ability to effectively lead and motivate staff through application of Agency values
  • Knowledge of the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and the appropriate techniques and practices for the client population.
  • Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Agency staff and with a diverse client base.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
