Responsible for patient food service on assigned units, including menu selections, tray assembly, tray delivery and pick-up, special requests, and in-between food delivery. This role involves communicating with nursing departments, clinical dieticians, and other personnel to ensure excellent patient services. The associate will introduce the "Catering to You" program to new patients using scripted methods and take patient menu selections, offering alternatives as allowed by prescribed diets and patient preferences. Compliance with regulatory agency standards, facility confidentiality, and patient's rights policies is essential. The position also requires adherence to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines for food handling and cleaning, as well as facility and department infection control policies.
