The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for selling, planning, and coordinating catered events, meetings, and special functions at Dellshire Resort. This position focuses on building client relationships, generating new business, and ensuring that each event reflects the resort’s high standards of service and hospitality. The Catering Sales Manager partners with internal departments to execute successful events while maximizing profitability and maintaining Dellshire’s reputation for exceptional guest experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in catering sales or event management, preferably in a resort or upscale hospitality environment.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and catering software systems (Delphi, Opera, or similar).
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to outstanding client service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and manage client expectations effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Solicit, negotiate, and book catering and event business through direct sales efforts, referrals, and community engagement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and positive word-of-mouth referrals.
  • Prepare and present detailed proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders (BEOs) in accordance with resort standards.
  • Coordinate all event details including menu planning, room setup, audiovisual needs, and special requests.
  • Collaborate with the Banquets, Culinary, and Conference Services teams to ensure smooth execution of events.
  • Conduct site tours, tastings, and pre-event meetings with clients to confirm details and expectations.
  • Manage billing procedures, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up on deposits, final payments, and post-event reconciliation.
  • Maintain accurate and organized files, CRM records, and correspondence related to event bookings.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, forecasts, and revenue tracking for leadership review.
  • Attend trade shows, networking events, and community functions to promote Dellshire Resort.
  • Stay current on market trends and competitor offers to identify new business opportunities.
  • Support the Director of Catering & Conference Services in department initiatives and training.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, brand standards, and legal regulations.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
