Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • Moderate amount of experience working in sales or other related experience
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Qualified candidates must live or relocate within a daily commuting distance of the Providence Campus location upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and develops business opportunities through various means including making outside sales calls, conducting internet research, networking at local events, offering tours of the rental spaces, and attending trade shows
  • Manages catering event reservations by preparing requests for proposal, booking business reservations, and finalizing billing
  • Develops and implements sales strategies, creates marketing plans, and assists with new product development
  • Responds to customer inquiries; develops and maintains internal and external relationships to enhance customer service and further university catering goals
  • Prepares materials for periodic sales meetings and presents updates on catering and events sales activity
  • Assists in the preparation and monitoring of department budget
  • Performs other duties as assigned
