About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Catering Sales Manager to sell, plan, and service catering and social events at our full-service hotel. This role manages assigned events from initial inquiry through execution, ensuring strong revenue performance and exceptional guest experiences. This position is ideal for a hotel catering professional who enjoys both selling and servicing events within a structured, supportive sales environment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hotel catering or events sales experience (full-service preferred)
  • Strong understanding of banquet food & beverage operations
  • Proven ability to balance selling and servicing responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with hotel sales and catering systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Sell meetings, social events, weddings, and banquets
  • Respond to inbound catering inquiries and proactively close business
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, and event documentation
  • Price events within established rental, food & beverage minimums, labor, and cleaning fee guidelines
  • Upsell menus, bar packages, enhancements, and space utilization
  • Achieve monthly and annual catering revenue goals
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline tracking in the sales system
  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned events from contract through event day
  • Create and manage detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
  • Conduct site visits, client meetings, tastings, and pre-conferences
  • Partner closely with Banquets, Culinary, Operations, and Sales Leadership
  • Ensure accurate billing, deposits, and final invoices
  • Attend on-site events as needed to ensure successful execution
  • Collaborate with the Director of Catering and Sales team to support overall hotel goals
  • Follow booking windows, pricing strategies, and brand standards
  • Communicate clearly with clients and internal departments
  • Manage multiple events simultaneously with strong attention to detail
