About The Position

Job Description CORE SCOPE OF POSITION Understands the hotel’s business strategies to increase revenue and group market mix. Works closely with Director of Resort Sales to identify new markets and business opportunities to qualify and generate new social and catering business. Sells guest rooms, meeting spaces, and other hotel services to SMERFE market or as assigned, including weddings within the booking parameters. Negotiates guest room rates, meeting room rental, functional space, and/or hotel services within approved booking guidelines Upsells clients to high value items whenever possible. Generates contracts and service social bookings with or without meeting space from start to finish - including but not limited to processing contracts based on departmental SOPs, generating and distributing of BEOs and group resumes Service all contracted groups and any Tribal events that are assigned to the Resort Sales Department Accurately produces and/or reviews all sales contracts, rate agreements, and/or banquet/catering event orders. Releases and communicates the event details to banquet managers for all related banquet functions. Conducts pre-and post-conference meetings with catering/banquet group when it is agreeable with the client. Disseminates sales-related information to other departments on a timely manner Coordinates events as needed or directed by Director of Sales and VP of Hotel Operations to include food and beverage requirements, timing of events, audio-visual requirements, room type allocation, VIP requests, rooming list, amenities, room set up, group transportation, décor requirements, security and all other contracted services and requests Arrange and conduct site inspections and off-site presentations for prospective guests. Attend trade shows and schedule outside sales calls to promote the facility as required. Entertains guests in accordance with established company and hotel policies and procedures. Designs, plans, and coordinates special projects to improve and enhance the guest service program. Maintains guest files, required records, gathers statistics, and prepares reports as required. Assists in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have a company-wide effect. Joins and attends local organizations’ events, trade shows, establishes connections and networks within the industry, and builds relationships with them. Ensures that a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment is maintained. Adheres to all company and department policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned.   • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of PMS preferred.
  • Knowledge of Rainmaker a plus.
  • Associate’s degree, with sales experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
