Catering Prep Cook Team Leader (Seasonal, 35-45 hours per week, early May to end of September) Job DetailsJob Location: Wolf Trap HeadQuarters - Vienna, VA 22182Position Type: SeasonalJob Category: Food and Beverage Work Schedule: Days and hours vary based on performance schedule includes weekend and nights Position Location: 100% On-site Pay Rate: $22.65/hour Benefits: 403(b) Retirement Plan; Complimentary tickets to select performances; Discounts at Concessions and the Gift Shop DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Team Supervision of Food Preparation: Assist in managing and supporting hourly prep cooks during daily food preparations for Meadow Lounge and Encore Circle, following menu and production sheets provided by the Executive Chef or Sous Chefs, manage catering prep cooks during daily clean ups leading managing of staff during cleaning duties of the kitchen to ensure all standards are met. Available to support hourly staff when chefs are unable to assist. Inventory Management: Receive goods, stock, and rotate products in line with kitchen standards set by the Executive Chef, do daily inventory sheets for production sheets. Order Assistance: Help with ordering products for Meadow Lounge and Encore Circle as needed. Encore Circle Meadow Lounge Coordination: Assist with training and overseeing food runners in both lounges to improve buffet setup and food distribution during service hours. Take the lead in coordinating food deliveries to both lounges, ensuring proper delivery, storage, and rotation of items. Ensure that all Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) are accurately completed with the correct buffet labels for each event. Confirm that "We Need" sheets are properly filled out nightly and submitted to the Chefs for order preparation. Quality Control: Collaborate with the Executive Chef to understand, develop, coach, and consistently uphold Wolf Trap’s quality standards for Meadow Lounge and Encore Circle. End-of-Shift Duties: Ensure the kitchen is properly cleaned, and all food is correctly labeled, rotated, and stored according to food safety and sanitation standards. REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years old. Must be able to work 3-4 nights a week, including some weekends. Must be comfortable working in a hot/humid environment. Must have 5 years of food production experience. Must be familiar with safe food handling and preparation practices or be willing to learn.
