About The Position

The Catering Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of Bon Appétit’s catering operations. This role requires a combination of strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the catering industry. The Catering Manager will ensure effi cient operations, exceptional customer service, and profi tability for the catering department.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in catering management.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Profi ciency in Microsoft Offi ce Suite and catering management software.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in event planning and coordination.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage trends.
  • Certifi cation in food safety or hospitality management

Responsibilities

  • Operational Management:
  • Develop and implement effi cient operational procedures to streamline catering processes.
  • Manage catering staff , including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring adequate supplies and equipment are available.
  • Monitor and analyze catering performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Customer Service:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their complete satisfaction with catering services.
  • Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote catering services and generate new business.
  • Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage the catering department's budget.
  • Monitor and control costs to ensure profi tability.
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure adherence to food safety standards and regulations.
  • Maintain high standards for food quality and presentation.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and audits.
  • Event Planning and Execution:
  • Oversee the planning and execution of catering events, from initial client consultation to on-site management.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff , servers, and other team members to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Manage event logistics, including transportation, equipment, and staffi ng.
