About The Position

The SHG Catering and Guest Services is primarily responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer service in what SHG has to offer, including but not limited to dining reservations, catering services, and take-out orders. Requirements

  • 2+ years of restaurant/catering/event experience
  • 2+ years of phone guest services experience
  • 2+ years of outbound sales experience
  • Able to communicate verbally in an articulate manner.

  • Reports to work on time and as assigned per the schedule on a regular, consistent basis.
  • Must be available MON-FRI from 9 am to 5:30 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Assists customers with catering orders.
  • Responsible for the processing of catering orders, including the coordination and communication with chefs.
  • Proficient on catering software.
  • Plans and coordinates catering deliveries and proper staffing with management.
  • Ensures proper delivery catering etiquette, accuracy and quality of catering orders upon delivery to customer.
  • Responsible for follow-up communication with catering customers and reporting feedback to management on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Communicates customer requests in a prompt, efficient manner.
  • Assists in resolving customer complaints about food quality or service, with a focus on catering food, subordinating final resolution authority to management.
  • Assist the Director of Sales with private dining inquiries and bookings for Ella Dining Room & Bar
  • Qualify incoming leads by gathering event details, including date, guest count, occasion, and budget parameters
  • Clearly communicate room capacities, food & beverage minimums, and event policies to prospective guests
  • Prepare and send private dining menus, pricing, and event information in a timely and professional manner
  • Coordinate internally with management and culinary teams to ensure accurate availability and execution
  • Maintain organized tracking of private dining leads and follow-up communication
  • Assist in online and phone reservations to maximize seating
  • Friendly and Proper Phone Etiquette
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to provide information about The Kitchen dining experience
  • Inform Guests of any special events
  • Ensure Proper Mapping when assigning Tables/ Mapping out Reservations effectively
  • Respond to guests' emails promptly
  • Tock/Open Table/Guest Center Knowledge
  • Excellent with Word and Excel
  • Able to handle high-volume calls
  • Confirm Guest Information (spelling of First and Last name, email, and phone number)
  • Communicate information to build a guest profile: dietaries/special occasion/ spouse name
  • Verify Guests Credit Card to hold reservation/verify credit card data
