About The Position

Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development : Identify, prospect, and secure new catering and group event opportunities with local businesses, schools, sports teams, and community organizations Develop and execute a strategic outreach plan to grow catering and event revenue Conduct outside sales calls, site visits, and networking activities Build and maintain a pipeline of new and recurring clients Follow up on leads, proposals, and past clients to drive repeat business Marketing & Community Engagement : Represent our brand at local events, networking functions, and community initiatives Establish partnerships with local businesses, hotels, and event venues Promote catering services through sampling, promotional materials, and direct outreach Collaborate with internal teams on marketing campaigns and catering promotions Maintain a strong local presence to increase brand visibility Catering Coordination & Execution : Manage catering and group orders from initial inquiry through execution Coordinate menus, pricing, and event logistics with clients Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of all catering orders Partner with culinary and operations teams to execute events successfully Oversee delivery, setup, and presentation to ensure exceptional guest experience Administrative & Reporting : Track sales activity, leads, and catering revenue performance Maintain an organized client database and outreach records Provide regular reporting on sales goals, conversion rates, and opportunities Assist leadership with forecasting and planning for catering growth Qualifications : 1–3 years of experience in sales, catering, hospitality, or restaurant operations preferred Strong relationship-building and networking skills Self-starter with the ability to work independently and drive results Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local outreach Flexible availability, including occasional evenings and weekends Core Competencies : Results-driven with a focus on revenue growth Outgoing and community-oriented personality Strong attention to detail and execution Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Collaborative team player with a hands-on approach Success Metrics : Growth in catering and group sales revenue Number of new client partnerships and outreach activities Client retention and repeat business Guest satisfaction and event execution quality Interested applicants can apply directly at www.visitowa.com/employment

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, catering, hospitality, or restaurant operations preferred
