Don’t miss this opportunity! We are seeking an experienced Catering Coordinator with a dynamic hospitality driven attitude to join our team. For 100 years Monterey Peninsula Country Club has catered to a diverse Membership of more than 1,100 Members and more than 250 employees. As a Catering Coordinator at Monterey Peninsula Country Club, we will ask you to: Assist Catering Manager and Banquet Director with planning and coordinating events (banquets, weddings, meetings, social functions). Provide tours of banquet rooms for members and event planners. Help create, distribute, and maintain event orders and documentation. Manage office tasks: event guarantee counts, catering menu development/printing, and maintaining printed catering packets. Update weekly function information for all F&B staff. Support the Club’s floral program. Assist with coordination and marketing of bridge events and other social group activities. Coordinate event details including service plans, menu printing, décor, entertainment, and special requests. Assist with room diagrams, banquet layouts, and setup logistics Maintain accurate tracking of rental equipment receipts and returns. Inspect event setups and verify accuracy against function sheets. Provide hands on service and orchestrate events as required. Attend staff meetings. Learn and utilize the NorthStar system; process banquet billing accurately and promptly. Maintain client files and conduct outreach to prospective catering clients. Support marketing and sales promotion efforts for Food & Beverage and Catering. Ensure professional, efficient service to Members at all times. Conduct basic research and prepare summaries for reports and correspondence. Promote safe work habits and maintain a safe work environment at all times. Demonstrate consistent attendance, professionalism, teamwork, and respectful conduct. Treat team members, supervisors and members/guests with respect and courtesy, and refrain from abusive, insubordinate and/or violent behavior.

Requirements

  • One to five years catering/conference services experience in Private Club, hotel or resort Food and Beverage operations.
  • High School Diploma required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using NorthStar system preferred.
