About The Position

The Casino GM is responsible for the planning, directing, controlling, and coordination of all business activities of the assigned property in accordance with the mission, vision, values, policies, and objectives set forth by upper management.  The GM ensures effective administration is provided for all assigned departments. The GM ensures gaming, legal, and policy compliance in all aspects of operations. The GM provides effective leadership with primary objectives of attaining maximum profit on operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business or Casino Operations.
  • General computer application proficiency (spreadsheets, word processing).
  • Exceptional communication skills, have a passion for guest service, eye for creativity, innovation, strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Understand P&L statement and how his/her actions impact, improve.
  • Five (5) years leadership experience involving gaming floor.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct all operational activities associated with both short and long-term strategic planning for all assigned areas.
  • Manage the casino and provide direction and support to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and to maximize profits.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures regarding Casino operations particularly focusing on Gaming and related functions.
  • Supervise and work with all related departments to maintain profitable annual operating reports by controlling costs and increasing revenue.
  • Ensure compliance to “Minimum Internal Control Standards” by working closely with the Audit Manager, Choctaw Nation Auditor, and other internal and external auditors.
  • Maintain effective and harmonious channels of communication between management and associates that promote employee morale and enhances a positive working environment.
  • Ensure that a standard of excellence in guest service is delivered and customer satisfaction throughout the property is achieved and maintained.
  • Maintain security/procedures and work closely with local security and surveillance.
  • Authorize expenditures and has signatory authority on contracts necessary for regular company operations with specified limits of authority.
  • Oversee performance of Management Team members and provides appropriate performance evaluation oversight and direction.
  • Other duties as assigned.
