Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in cashiering or customer service roles preferred but not required.
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions and lift/carry items up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

  • Experience using point of sale (POS) systems in a retail environment.
  • Familiarity with janitorial duties and maintaining cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the cash register to process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with inquiries or concerns to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, including performing light janitorial duties as needed.
  • Handle repetitive motions involved in scanning items and bagging purchases while ensuring accuracy.
  • Assist with lifting and carrying heavy items when necessary to support store operations.
  • Demonstrate proper phone etiquette when answering customer calls or communicating with team members.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, to meet store staffing needs.
