About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Service Cashier to join our Buick GMC dealership team. The Service Cashier is responsible for handling financial transactions related to service and parts purchases while providing an exceptional customer experience at checkout. This role serves as a key point of contact for customers completing their service visit.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic math and computer proficiency
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and strong attention to detail
• Dependable and punctual
• Ability to pass a drug test, background check and maintain a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

• Previous cashiering or customer service experience preferred (automotive experience a plus)

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner at the service checkout area
• Accurately process payments including cash, credit/debit cards, and financing transactions
• Review repair orders with customers and explain charges when needed
• Balance and reconcile daily cash drawer and receipts
• Answer incoming calls and direct them to appropriate departments as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized cashier and waiting area
• Handle customer concerns with professionalism and escalate when necessary
• Ensure all transactions comply with dealership policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
