About The Position
We are looking for Cashiers for Marilyn’s Café who will be interacting with customers and accepting payment from them for services provided. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Take customer orders at the counter. Receive payments and present change to customers. Pack food items, make coffee, and fill beverage cups. Function as the host/hostess of the restaurant. Receive food checks from waiters or customers. Appeal to impatient or irritated customers, especially during rush hours. Manage the register, including all credit card, cash operations, and Casino Comp Dollars. Ensure a balance of the register at the end of the shift or working period. Standing and walking for long periods of time.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Money-handling and excellent customer service skills are a necessity.
- Must possess a high regard for customer service and employee relations.
- Good communication skills, and the ability to perform in fast paced and goal oriented environment.
- Must have a valid Nevada Health Card.
- Must be able to work in a environment with exposure to second hand smoke and high noise levels.
Nice To Haves
- Prior cashiering experience preferred.
